SCA Care Services Manager Leanne Anderson Joins Panel Discussion at Brockenhurst College for International Women’s Day
Brockenhurst College hosted a dynamic panel discussion in celebration of International Women’s Day yesterday, featuring our very own Leanne Anderson, as a guest speaker. The theme for International Women’s Day is to “Inspire Inclusion,” aimed to acknowledge the accomplishments of women, advocate for gender equality and empower girls and women globally.
The highly anticipated panel discussion coincided with the college’s Apprenticeships Job Fair on Thursday, creating a unique opportunity to integrate the celebration of International Women’s Day into the event with an overarching theme of “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.”. Leanne, with her wealth of experience in the care services sector, was invited to share her insights on a panel that delved into topics such as career experiences, overcoming workplace bias, leadership, and self-care.
The focus on inspiring inclusion was particularly relevant as it encouraged fostering understanding and appreciation for women’s contributions, ultimately paving the way for a more equitable world.
The panel discussion was hosted in one of the college’s venues, providing a platform for women in the community to share their personal and professional journeys. Attendees were encouraged to engage in conversations surrounding the unique challenges women face in their careers and how they overcome them.
The panel discussion aimed to not only celebrate the achievements of women but also provide valuable insights and advice for those navigating their own professional journeys. The panel discussion proved to be an inspiring and empowering event, aligning with the spirit of International Women’s Day and the broader goal of promoting gender equality.
We are extremely proud of Leanne and her commitment to the Health and Social Care sector, her dedication does not go unnoticed, her passion and inspiring work ethic are felt and acknowledged by more than us at SCA Care, as confirmed by Lynne Walsh, former Senior Extra Care Coordinator and Commissioning Support Officer at Hampshire County Council:
“I have had the privilege of working with Leanne recently and feel that your team at SCiA should be proud of the fact that you have an employee that expresses leadership, resilience and experience and has made my partnership work so much more palatable in the process.
Leanne is a great communicator, innovator, and role model. It is so refreshing to work with likeminded individuals who really do put our clients, customers and staff at the forefront of our work.”
