Extra Care
Supporting you to live independently in your own apartment in the New Forest.
What is Extra Care?
Our Extra Care Schemes allow you to continue living in your own apartment whilst we provide the care and support. We have carers on site 24/7 and each room is fitted with a pull cord meaning there is always someone on hand to help.
Each of our schemes has a real community feel with some fantastic facilities including a communal lounge and gardens for residents to socialise.

Meet Leanne, Extra Care Registered Manager
I have worked in the health and social care sector for 13 years now in a range of roles including Support Worker, Senior Day Service Officer and Care Manager across a variety of different services; supporting older people as well as adults and children with a learning disability, physical impairment or mental illness.
I started as a support worker for adults with a learning disability for a charity, and have had a passion for empowering practice in care ever since.
For over a decade I have studied health and social care alongside my career. As a result I hold an LDQ, NVQ3 and First Class degree in Health, Community and Social Care. I also have a Master’s degree in Philosophy and Education. These qualifications have enabled me to become an Associate Lecturer at a local university, and I have provided specialist lectures on Empowerment and Advocacy, Personalised Support, Intellectual Impairment and Physical Impairment.
For over a year now, my role at Social Care in Action has been Registered Manager of our three Extra Care Schemes across the New Forest, ensuring we provide the highest quality care with a commitment to continuous improvement.
