Barry Visits the SCA Care Team
Recently, our office was graced with a surprise visit from Barry, one of our amazing Home Care customers. Due to the challenges posed by previous COVID restrictions and personal circumstances, Barry had not been able to join us at the office for quite some time.
Barry was, of course, welcomed with open arms and a warm smile. During his visit, he had the pleasure of touring our new offices, reconnecting with familiar faces, especially Stephanie from the Complex Care Team, and Ricky, our dedicated Director of Integrated Services. The bond between Barry, Stephanie, and Ricky was evident, having known one another through years of support services and to make his day even brighter, Stephanie brewed him a perfect cup of tea, just the way he likes it!
Barry has a real enthusiasm for customer engagement and before the pandemic disrupted our routines, Barry used to be an active participant in the ‘Wicked Wednesdays’ programme. This customer-focused group gathered once a month for various activities such as arts and crafts, cake decorating, and card making. During his visit, we had an inspiring conversation about reviving this initiative. Barry shared his ideas, and we listened attentively, brainstorming on ways to recreate those moments of joy.
Towards the end of his visit, Barry requested a photo with our team. We captured that precious moment and handed him a printed copy, which he excitedly declared would find a place of honour on his fridge. As he bid us farewell, Barry expressed his gratitude, saying, ‘I’ve really enjoyed my afternoon.’
We are thrilled to announce that we’ll be inviting Barry back to our headquarters to collaborate on planning our future customer activity sessions. Stay tuned, as we embark on this wonderful journey together!
