Become a Volunteer
Becoming a volunteer is a rewarding choice as you will work directly with people who can benefit from your help and see how you can make a significant difference to someone’s life.
The experience gained through this voluntary work can be very useful for developing particular skills and adding to your CV for future development or employment opportunities.
We accept volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds and from a large number of professions including social care workers, police, magistrates, legal professionals, accountants, housing, NHS, private industry, and more. We also have volunteers who wish to use their personal experience for the benefit of others, they may themselves have a disability or have cared for a loved one with a disability or long term health condition. We also have a number of students who undertake volunteer work in order to gain valuable experience of direct work in the community.
Applicants do not need any experience as full training is provided but you do need to be confident, non-judgemental and interested in working with people from different backgrounds. All expenses are reimbursed.
